May, 11th-13th, 2022
Córdoba, Argentina
During the last Workshop, held at Tilcara in 2017, the city of Córdoba was chosen as the next venue. The Workshop was planned to be held in 2019, but that year coincided with the National Congress of Argentine Archeology held in Córdoba, so it was decided to postpone it. Then the COVID-19 pandemic advanced and with it the need to evaluate alternatives regarding the modality of the Workshop. For this reason, it was proposed to reserve three days in the month of May 2022 (11th to 13th) in order to do carry out a face-to-face instance.
These workshops have been carried out in a spaced but constant manner since their first edition in 1994. The growth of the academic community of archaeologists who specialize in this type of materiality requires that these spaces for discussion be maintained and expanded.
This Workshop is intended in the local sphere for researchers, teachers and undergraduate and graduate students of the Bachelor of Anthropology, the Bachelor of History, and the career of Biology and related careers of the UNC and other public and private universities of the Province of Córdoba. At a national and international level to archaeologists, anthropologists who are interested in material culture, historians and other researchers in the area of Human Sciences, Biological Sciences and Medical Sciences (Veterinary).
With this, it is expected to integrate knowledge about the past and present of the interaction between humans and camelids over time.
